In the frame of the European Day of the Entrepreneur JIC-BAS co-organized the panel session “Technology Transfer and Commercialisation”, moderator Karina Angelieva (Director of JIC-BAS), lecturers Artemis Saitakis (Director, Science Technology Park of Crete) and Rosa Kardara (Tech. Transfer Consultant, Help-Forward Network). Several topics were discussed: identifying and evaluating promising research results, liaising with industry, routes for research results exploitation, spin-off creation, licensing and other technology transfer agreements, knowledge and technology transfer networks.

The new name for the future EU funding programme for research and innovation: "Horizon 2020 - the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation". It will enter into force on 1 January 2014, after the end of FP7 on 31 Dec 2013.
